The current times may feel turbulent, chaotic, uncertain.  Can you find the Stillpoint within? There is a place within all of us that is like a clear pool of water.  We often are so identified and stuck in our heads, you may think this stillness doesn't exist for you. But it IS there.  It takes patience held in the sacred present moment to encourage and direct your awareness to drop down, lower and lower, uncovering deeper layers of the self. I often think of it as changing the radio station - learning to direct awareness and attention to different layers and levels within.  

 

Here's whats feels current, meaningful, interesting:


  • take short breaks to go outside, let your eyes really take in and receive the fall colors

  • pay attention to breath, breathing into your back body and pelvic floor

  • singing silly songs and/or roaring and yelling - let your voice run free

  • learn something new, find a new documentary instead of another TV drama



20 min Meals: BBQ Tofu, quinoa and roasted broccoli




1 cup quinoa, rinsed well.  Boil in water like pasta, quinoa is done when the white rings are floating free.  Drain then add a pat of butter or olive oil and pinch of salt.



1 large head broccoli, chopped.  Place on cookie sheet, toss with olive oil and salt, broil or roast until slightly browned.



1 package firm tofu, cut into triangles.  Place in oven safe frying pan, coat with oil.  Roast or broil till slightly browned.  Top with BBQ sauce and cook additional 3-4 minutes.
