ANXIETY
Anxiety is one of the biggest roadblocks in today’s world. Everybody has it: kids at the playground and executives making million-dollar deals.

Anxiety is running and ruining lives.
You can’t escape it.
Avoiding anxiety makes it worse.
Avoidance gives anxiety power.
Anxiety is the experience of your body and mind raging that “something is wrong!”
Chronic anxiety acts like an emotional autoimmune disease (self-attack). Anxiety feels bad and we want to avoid it. Anxiety spirals with the continual effort of avoidance of sensations and feelings. We become afraid of how we feel, and it worsens with internal disconnection, separation, avoidance, and resistance.
Healing anxiety is not about repair or fixing, you are not broken. Healing anxiety is about learning to regulate your nervous system and decoding your emotional system. Your emotions and sensations are a UNIQUE map for navigating YOUR world. Your body and emotions need space to be heard and felt. We heal by turning towards or leaning in; building curiosity about what is happening under the skin.
None of us were given an Owner’s Manual for the Human Body! I created a workbook with the basics for healing anxiety, “Moving from Fear to Freedom: A workbook for understanding and overcoming anxiety.”

The state of the current medical system in America is faltering and hard to depend on. If you have a chronic illness, you likely feel more frustrated than supported from the various doctors and specialists. Many people feel like their doctor doesn’t have enough time, doesn’t give individualized treatment or even that the doctor’s office doesn’t call back when you are in need.
Managing chronic illness requires so much trial and error. There’s a time to push and advocate for new treatments, and a time to rest and take a break from pushing. Illness will put all your coping skills to the test. It’s important that you aren’t alone, that you have support along a hard road.
People eventually find their own ratio of western and complementary medicine. Pharmaceuticals and medicines certainly have their use and effectiveness. Medicine has its place in healing, but it is a common trend for doctors to just keep adding and adding. Polypharmacy is out of hand. Many people struggle to keep up with prescriptions and supplements. It can be hard to know what is helping.
SELF ESTEEM
Imposter syndrome, inner critic, self-doubt and negative self-talk are all connected to self-esteem. Do you trust yourself? Do you listen to yourself?
There is a war raging within many people. A war between the shadow and the light. The parts we show the world and the parts we are ashamed of and keep hidden.
Many people are molded and shaped into being “good little girls and boys.” Nobody told you “Just be yourself.” JUST BE YOURSELF is part of the medicine. Not good or bad – but WHOLE. REAL. AUTHENTIC.
Compassion and self-acceptance are lacking. A touch of compassion brings healing to our darkest places.
Self-acceptance does not mean resignation or stagnation. You are designed to be a feeling, evolving, growing being.
In fact, acceptance is the required first ingredient in precipitating true change and transformation. As you accept yourself as you are, more things are possible.
Self-compassion exists inside. If you are not experiencing it, it is locked away inside of you. The key to freeing self-compassion is to remove the blockages of judgment, shame, guilt and limiting beliefs.
It is essential to acknowledge the complexity of this in the face of cultural oppressions, prejudice and privilege.
