Shame strikes the heart of almost everyone dealing with food and body issues.  

The current food industry is certainly problematic. Ultra processed foods overpower our natural instincts.  Don’t think YOU are weak.  Blame the designer foods.  I don’t like the phrase “eating clean” – but it gets a point across quick.  Real, whole, foods do send clear messages to your body.  Messages you can work with.  Ultra processed foods are like a virus in your computer programing; it will hijack your system.

Food isn’t the enemy, but it’s not your friend either.  

 

Food is fuel.  Food is the building materials for your body. 

Mindful eating has some important lessons, but if you been lost and out of control with food, eating “intuitively” is going to sound like a joke. 

 

It is 100% possible to move past the “management” stage of an eating disorder into full recovery and healing.  It’s a journey that will take you to the depths of your soul.

Food and body related issues truly represent the intersectionality of body:mind:soul.
